IM Jens Ove Fries Nielsen in action

In the recent Copenhagen Chess Challenge 2015  IM Jens Ove Fries Nielsen played his rare openings:

With the white pieces he played 1.e3..
a) 1..Nf6 3.c4 c5 3.f4 which Hugh Myers used to call 'Mujannah formation' in the Myers Openings Bulletin Vol. 1 N° 2, because the Arab pioneers of the game like to combine c4 with an early f4
b) 1..d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.b4.. is a variation of the Sokolsky's opening (1.b4) having sidestepped 1..e5 2.Bb2 Bxb4 3.Bxe5 Nf6 which is dynamic and double edged
c) 1..e5 2.c4 Nf6 3.a3 d5 4.b4.. with a St.George formation

After a Kings Indian attack in between, the last round was again a real UCO : 1. d4 Nf6 2.Nc3 c5 3.e3 g6 4.g4!?..

With the black pieces he was also quite unusual for instance:

1.e4 d6 2.d4 a6!? :
a) 3.Nc3 Nc6 4.d5 Nb8 5.a4 e5
b) 3.f4 d5 4.e5 Bf5

Besides
1.Nc3 b6 2.d4 Bb7 3.e4 d6!?

Jens Ove Fries Nielsen's fighting spirit is admirable, considering he is in his mid 50-ties!

Note:
We want to express our appreciation to IM Gerard Welling for the inspiration.
