Santasiere Folly: 1.Nf3 d5 2.b4 e5!?
The Santasiere's folly is a chess opening where White plays 1.Nf3 and after 1..d5 or 1..Nf6 it follows 2.b4. We suppose that 1.Nf3 prevents Black from playing e5, but this is not always the case.
The following move order 1.Nf3 d5 2.b4 e5!? (see diagram)
is absolutely a rare choice in master play, and it is not contained in Santasiere's own work about his opening. But it is a possible choice. Here you can fine three master level games (both players elo > 2.000). Does 1.Nf3 d5 2.b4 e5!? deserve a try? You choose!

Vincenzo Montilli's games played in Robecchetto Dec 2012
Following the previous post http://theamazingchessworld.blogspot.it/2013/01/chess-miracles.html I have been able to get in touch with Vincenzo Montilli through his club's help.
Here below, you can find three of the games he played in the Robecchetto 2012 Master Tournament. These games have been annotated by Vincenzo Montilli. I want to thank him for sharing them and for the notes and his club for helping me to get in touch with him too.
My favourite is the one against Santeramo where at first Vincenzo offers a pawn sacrifice and then a whole rook.... !

Chess Miracles
Recently a Fide rated event with players > elo 1.900 has been played in Robecchetto con Induno, near of Milan, North of Italy. There were 22 players. One International Master, three Fide Masters, two players rated > 2.100 plus various Candidate Masters. And a chess miracle happened. The lowest rated player, the 15th year old Vincenzo Montilli (class A Player - Fide Rated 1909 at the time) tied for 1st/2nd (although he was eventually 2nd because of the Bucholz) with a performance rating of 2324! BRAVO Vincenzo!!
